Victorian Ministerial Report due in July
In December 2016, in response to the Victorian Parliamentary Committee’s Inquiry into End of Life Choices Final Report, the Victorian Government announced its intention to commence consultations for a voluntary assisted dying framework in Victoria. An expert Ministerial Advisory Panel was established to facilitate this process with a view to developing a safe and considered framework for the proposed legislation. Submissions on the legislative framework outlined by the Panel’s Discussion Paper closed on 10 April 2017. An interim report is expected soon, with a final report due in July.
