Northern Tablelands supports proposed bill

In mid-July, Adam Marshall,  the NSW State MP for Northern Tablelands, asked the community to provide him with their thoughts on a proposal to be debated in Parliament that would allow terminally ill patients in NSW to voluntarily end their lives with medical assistance. To help the community provide their views, Mr Marshall created page where people can download or view the entire Bill and leave their feedback or questions and their details.

Following a fortnight of feedback and more than 1000 responses, greater than two thirds of respondents support the draft Bill to legalise voluntary assisted dying. “After two weeks, it appears as though the community’s wishes are now clear. Of the more than 1000 respondents, 67.3 per cent of people support the introduction of the draft bill, with 28.9 per cent in opposition,” Adam Marshall said.
