Harry’s Story

Harry Gardner, aged 90, is dying from prostate cancer and calling for the right to end his own life before he reaches the “horrific” final stages of the disease. Harry, a former scientist and talented folk musician, said he had heard the pain was “horrific” in the final days of battling prostate cancer, and he wanted the right to die before he reached that stage. He has visited local MPs urging them to support the voluntary assisted dying law which it is hoped will be debated in the Victorian Parliament soon.
