Guest speaker: Senator Richard Di Natale, Leader of the Australian Greens
Richard Di Natale, a former general practitioner, was elected to the Australian Senate in the 2010 federal election. He became federal parliamentary leader of the Australian Greens in 2015.
Following the passing of the Victorian Voluntary Assisted Dying Bill in November 2017, Di Natale announced that the Greens would introduce a new bill in 2018 to overturn a Howard Government law, known as The Andrews Bill, which has stopped the Australian Capital Territory and Northern Territory from debating assisted dying laws since 1997.
